I have now set up an online shop to sell Too Old To Skate merchandise. At the time of writing the stock consists of the few remaining 8.0″ wide decks. Hopefully down the line there will be T-Shirts and other goodies. just maybe!

I wasn’t able to take part in the Bath - Bristol skateathon this year, but by all accounts there was a massive turnout and the day went really well. There is a whole new scene developing for long distance skaters - with events such as a 24 hour skate - check out the skate further website and form for more details

The start of 2008 hasn’t left me with much time for skating, but the bob managed to tear me away from work not once but twice yesterday for a local skate - some gnarly banks in Ashton and a sunny session at the deaner. My ego was massaged by having the camera pointed at me - photos courtesey of the bob.

Blimey, 2007 seems to be screaming to a close already! Thought i’d do a quick last post of the year, in case people were wondering if i’d ever post again! So.. i’m still skating, but nowhere near as much as i’d like to be, mainly because this year I became a freelance web designer/ developer and started a web consultancy business. and it rained a lot. One last bit of self promotion before the year is out - the photo above shows me skating my most regular spot this year - a car park about a minutes skate from my house and right next to my new workplace, I expect i’ll be skating there a bit more next year - pray for a decent summer in 2008!
So next year, this is is what i’d like to do:-

Skate more!
Wind down the DFR site - not enough time or contributors, plus seems a bit silly to have two skate websites when I can barely keep one running, and move all the content over to this site (would be a shame to lose it, after the effort people put in initially).
Set up a web shop to flog Too Old to Skate merchandise. (you know you need stickers and mugs!).
Skate more!
